Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with 3 to 4 years of experience to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network systems to ensure seamless connectivity and security. This role requires working in a rotational shift to support 24/7 operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and security.
- Perform network upgrades, patches, and maintenance to enhance system efficiency.
- Work closely with IT teams to support business operations and resolve technical issues.
- Implement network security measures to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and policies.
- Provide support for network-related incidents and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure optimal network performance.
- Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in network administration and support.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, etc.).
- Experience with configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Juniper, or other networking devices.
- Proficiency in firewall management, network security, and VPN configurations.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar.
- Ability to work in a rotational shift to support 24/7 operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.
