Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Job Responsibilities:
-
Design electrical control systems, schematics, and wiring diagrams for industrial machinery using CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or SolidWorks Electrical).

Develop panel layouts, terminal diagrams, and cable/wire routing for machine control systems.

Select and specify electrical components — PLCs, sensors, motors, drives (VFDs), contactors, relays, circuit breakers, and safety devices.

Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for electrical components and coordinate with procurement for sourcing.

Collaborate with mechanical and controls/software teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical assemblies and automation logic.

Ensure designs comply with relevant standards (IEC, NEC, UL, CE, NFPA 79) and company safety guidelines.

Support panel wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of machinery at site or in-house.

Conduct load calculations, power distribution planning, and short-circuit/fault analysis.

Review and update documentation including single-line diagrams (SLD), control philosophy, and I/O lists.

Participate in design reviews, risk assessments (e.g., HAZOP, FMEA), and provide inputs for continuous improvement.

Provide technical support for field issues, retrofits, and machine upgrades.

Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for component evaluation, approval, and cost optimization.
