Qualifications:

Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Job Responsibilities:
-
Create and maintain technical documentation including user manuals, service/maintenance manuals, installation guides, operating instructions, and parts catalogues.

Translate complex engineering data, drawings, and specifications into clear, concise, and easy-to-follow content.

Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to gather technical information and validate content accuracy.

Develop illustrations, diagrams, exploded views, and schematics to support written content (using tools like Illustrator, Photoshop, or CAD-based capture).

Ensure documentation complies with relevant industry standards (ASD-S1000D, ATA iSpec 2200, ISO, ANSI, or company-specific standards as applicable).

Manage document version control, revisions, and change tracking throughout the product lifecycle.

Review and update existing documentation to reflect design changes, engineering updates, or customer feedback.

Create content for multiple formats — PDF, online help, interactive electronic technical publications (IETPs), and mobile/tablet-based manuals.

Collaborate with translation/localization teams for multilingual documentation where required.

Conduct technical reviews with subject matter experts (SMEs) to validate content before publishing.

Maintain document templates, style guides, and terminology databases for consistency across all publications.
