Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our finance team. He/she will assist with various accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart their career in accounting and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment.
Responsibilities:
Should have experience in client communication and following up on payments
Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
Assist with other accounting projects
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-2 years’ related experience is a must
• Hands-on experience working with general ledgers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• strong problem-solving skills
• Proficient with ERP systems, including Microsoft Office
• Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
