Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering (JNNCE) was established in the year 1980 by National Education Society (NES). NES been imparting quality education for the more than 71 years. JNNCE is a premier Engineering Institute of the Malnad region. The campus spread over 42 acres, it has all the amenities to cater to need of about 3500 students and 400 faculty and staff. All the departments have good infrastructural facilities with highly qualified and experienced faculty, staff and well-equipped laboratories. The campus is within quick and easy reach to the Shivamogga city which is well connected by Road, Rail. JNNCE is identified as a Remote Centre of IIT, Bombay to conduct on-line technical workshops for faculty and students and also, as a Nodal centre for the project E- Yantra – a Robot based Project initiated by IIT, Bombay. Department of IT BT of Govt. of Karnataka has setup New Age Incubation Network center in the campus. The College is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka and is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
