Job Description
Purpose of the Role: To support the management by streamlining key HR, administration, compliance, and operational processes across the organisation.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end employee life cycle for employees, interns, consultants, and contracted team members, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, documentation, attendance and leave management, performance appraisals, and separation formalities
- Manage the HR operations, administration, and organisational coordination across teams
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, employee data, contracts, and personnel documentation, ensuring timely updates and compliance with organisational requirements
- Ensure HR policies, processes, and practices remain aligned with labour laws, statutory requirements, organisational policies, and PoSH guidelines.
- Support employee engagement, internal communication, employee concerns, and performance management processes across the organisation
- Oversee the smooth day-to-day administration and operational functioning of the Mumbai office, including facilities, assets, housekeeping, maintenance, and office services
- Support field and program teams with operational requirements, including travel arrangements, reimbursements, logistics, documentation, and employee-related coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for program teams and provide timely administrative and operational support
- Coordinate procurement activities in collaboration with the Finance team, including vendor management, quotations, purchase documentation, and record maintenance
- Support organisational audits, compliance reviews, and statutory requirements by maintaining accurate records and required documentation
- Contribute to strengthening HR, administration, and operational processes to improve efficiency and ensure smooth organisational functioning
Requirements:
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree; an advanced degree in HR is desirable.
Experience:
- 6 - 8 years of HR Generalist experience with exposure to HR Operations, Compliance, Performance management and administration
- Minimum 3-5 years in the social/development sector is preferred
- Good understanding of HR processes, labour laws, and compliance
- Experience managing appraisal and performance review cycles
- Experience in Vendor management and logistics coordination
- Proficiency in Zoho or similar HRMS platforms is highly preferred
