- Greeting and Consulting: Welcoming customers, listening to their vehicle issues or maintenance requests, and documenting symptoms or concerns.
- Translating Technical Terms: Explaining complex mechanical issues and repair options in simple language that customers can easily understand.
- Estimating Costs and Time: Providing written price estimates for parts and labor and setting expected pickup times.
- Liaising with Technicians: Relaying work orders to mechanics, tracking repair progress, and getting customer approval if extra repairs or costs come up.
- Managing Logistics: Scheduling appointments, handling paperwork, organizing loaner cars, and processing final payments.
