Location: Chennai

Experience: 2–4 Years (Relevant Experience)

Our client, a leading investment-focused organization, is looking for an Equity Research Analyst to join their team in Chennai.

Qualifications

CA Inter / CFA Level 1 or Level 2 / MBA (Finance)

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Strong analytical, valuation, and financial modelling skills

Key Requirements

Experience in equity and investment research covering both listed and unlisted companies

Ability to build, review, and interpret financial models across multiple sectors

Experience in analysing companies across at least 2–3 industries with the ability to apply a transferable analytical framework

Strong report-writing skills with the ability to develop clear and well-supported investment theses

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience in private company research and analysis

Key Responsibilities

Conduct fundamental research on listed and unlisted companies across various sectors

Build financial models, perform company valuations, and prepare equity research reports

Analyse industry trends, company performance, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities

Develop investment recommendations supported by rigorous research and analysis

Present research findings and investment views to internal stakeholders

Preferred Profile

Strong understanding of equity research, valuation methodologies, and financial statement analysis

Ability to work independently and manage multiple research assignments

Immediate joiners will be given preference
