Laser Tracker Operator AEROSPACE We are seeking an experienced Laser Tracker Operator with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the operating laser tracker to join our precision engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using laser tracking systems for high-precision measurements and inspections in aerospace manufacturing, with a focus on accuracy, quality, and safety. Responsibilities Operate laser tracker systems e.g FARO Leica API to perform high-precision dimensional inspections and alignments of aerospace components and assemblies. Set up and calibrate laser tracker equipment according to project specifications and aerospace industry standards. Conduct real-time inspections of large aerospace structures, parts, and tooling to ensure conformity to engineering drawings and specifications. Analyze measurement data, generate detailed inspection reports, and document results with a high level of accuracy. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and provide alignment solutions. Ensure all measurement activities comply with aerospace industry standards, customer requirements, and quality assurance protocols. Maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of laser tracker equipment. Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance measurement efficiency and accuracy in aerospace applications. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience operating laser tracker systems in the aerospace industry. Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and the ability to interpret aerospace technical drawings. Proficiency with laser tracker software and 3D CAD models. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on high-precision measurement. Experience working with large-scale aerospace components and assemblies. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Familiarity with aerospace industry standards (AS9100, ISO9001) and safety protocols. Strong communication skills and the ability to document and report findings accurately. Prior experience in industries such as aviation, defense, or aerospace manufacturing is highly desirable.
