Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced AI Lead Engineer to lead our AI engineering team and drive the technical vision for Conversational AI, Azure AI Services, and Microsoft 365 Copilot solutions. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on expertise in building intelligent conversational systems using modern LLMs, prompt engineering techniques, and cloud-native AI services with proven experience in technical leadership, solution architecture, and mentoring engineers. A background in both Microsoft and AWS AI ecosystems is desirable, enabling scalable and enterprise-ready AI applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of AI engineers; set technical direction, define engineering standards, and conduct code and design reviews.

• Solution Architecture: Own the end-to-end architecture of AI and conversational solutions, making key design decisions on scalability, security, cost, and maintainability.

• Conversational AI Development: Lead the design, build, and optimization of intelligent chatbots, voice assistants, and AI agents using advanced NLP and conversational AI frameworks.

• Azure AI Services Implementation: Drive the use of Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, and Azure Machine Learning for AI model development, deployment, and scaling.

• Microsoft 365 Copilot Integration:

o Lead the creation and customization of Copilot prompts and plugins.

o Define patterns for extending and embedding Copilot functionality into business workflows.

• Prompt Engineering & LLM Tuning: Set standards for crafting, testing, and refining prompts for large language models to improve relevance, contextuality, and accuracy.

• Microsoft Graph API: Architect the integration of Microsoft 365 data and functionality into AI systems using Microsoft Graph API.

• Power Platform Enablement: Guide solutions built with Power Automate, Power Apps, and other low-code/no-code Microsoft tools.

• AI Model Training: Oversee the training, fine-tuning, and optimization of models using NLP libraries and ML frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

• Cloud Deployment: Own the deployment of AI solutions on cloud platforms, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, UX, data science, engineering, and senior business stakeholders to translate business needs into AI roadmaps and solutions.

• Performance Monitoring & Analytics: Define KPIs and monitoring practices for deployed systems, analyze user interactions, and drive continuous improvements.

• Project Delivery & Planning: Plan, estimate, and drive delivery of AI initiatives, managing priorities, risks, and timelines.

• Responsible AI & Governance: Establish best practices for responsible AI, data privacy, security, and compliance across AI solutions.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.

• Experience:

o 5+ years of experience in AI engineering, with a focus on NLP and Conversational AI, including 2+ years in a technical lead or team leadership role.

o Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring engineering teams and delivering production-grade AI solutions end to end.

o Experience designing enterprise-grade AI architectures and making technology and platform decisions.

o Proven hands-on expertise with Azure AI Services (Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, Cognitive Services).

o Experience building with Microsoft 365 Copilot, including prompt and plugin development.

o Proficiency with Microsoft Graph API and Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps).

o Strong development skills in Python or JavaScript for AI integration and automation.

o Familiarity with NLP tools such as SpaCy, NLTK, or Hugging Face.
