About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Python Developer to work closely with our engineering team on eScanX. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to build real-world product experience, work with modern AI tools, and grow within a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, test, and maintain clean, efficient Python code for the eScanX product
- Collaborate with senior developers and product team members on new features and bug fixes
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve coding speed, quality, and problem-solving
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across the application
- Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices
- Document code and processes clearly for team reference
- Be reliably available and punctual during core working hours to support real-time collaboration with the team
Requirements
- Solid foundation in Python programming (personal projects, internships, coursework, or professional experience all count)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) and a genuine interest in using them effectively
- Basic understanding of software development practices (version control/Git, debugging, testing)
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a remote, distributed team
- Punctuality and reliability — must be online and available consistently during working hours (9 AM – 5 PM, Finland time)
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take feedback well
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Nice to Have
- Exposure to web frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django, FastAPI)
- Familiarity with APIs, databases, or cloud platforms
- Experience with SaaS products or subscription-based platforms
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies
