Production manager

Job Summary:

Suit Lounge is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee and manage our bespoke clothing production process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garment manufacturing, possess excellent communication skills, and be adept at coordinating various aspects of production to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

 1. Production Oversight:

 • Oversee all stages of the production process, ensuring that each garment meets our quality standards and is delivered on schedule.

 • Coordinate with tailors and other production staff to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

 2. Styling Communication:

 • Accurately convey the specific styling details and client preferences to the tailors.

 • Ensure that all garments adhere to the approved designs and specifications.

 3. Production Planning & Deadlines:

 • Develop and implement effective production schedules to meet client deadlines.

 • Monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to maintain productivity and efficiency.

 4. Tailoring Unit Management:

 • Manage the daily operations of the tailoring unit, including workforce allocation and task prioritization.

 • Provide guidance and support to the tailoring team, ensuring optimal performance.

 5. Inventory Management:

 • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring that stock is always updated.

 • Conduct regular inventory checks and manage the procurement of materials as needed.

 6. Vendor Management & Raw Material Procurement:

 • Liaise with approved vendors to purchase high-quality raw materials at competitive prices.

 • Ensure that all materials meet the required standards and are available on time for production.

 7. Quality Control:

 • Perform regular quality checks on each garments at various stages of production and before delivery, to ensure they meet Suit Lounge’s standards.

 • Address any issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain product excellence.

Qualifications:

 • Proven experience as a Production Manager in the in bespoke or custom clothing industry 

 • Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and tailoring techniques.

 • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

 • Ability to communicate effectively in English, Tamil and Hindi (any 2) with both tailors and management. 

 • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

 • Experience in inventory management and vendor relations.

 • Knowledge of quality control procedures in garment production.
