Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head of HSE to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment strategies aligned with our business goals. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in HSE compliance, training, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement within a manufacturing setup.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive HSE strategy in line with organizational objectives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, standards, and environmental permits (e.g., Factory Act, HSE standards).
- Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and implement effective hazard controls.
- Incident Investigation: Analyze workplace incidents, determine root causes, and implement preventive actions.
- Emergency Preparedness: Design, maintain, and test emergency response plans through regular drills and updates.
- Training & Development: Conduct HSE training programs for employees and business partners to promote a safe workplace culture.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track HSE KPIs and performance metrics, prepare reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Audits & Inspections: Perform internal and external HSE audits and inspections, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise effectively with internal teams, government bodies, and external partners to ensure HSE compliance and best practices.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Additional HSE certifications are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 8+ years of HSE management experience, preferably in a manufacturing setup.
- In-depth knowledge of local and national HSE laws and environmental guidelines.
- Proven experience in environmental compliance and permitting.
