Role Overview

The Solar Project Incharge is responsible for end-to-end execution of solar power projects (rooftop or ground-mounted), ensuring timely completion, quality standards, cost control, and coordination between all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

 Project Execution

Lead complete installation of solar PV systems

Supervise site engineers, technicians, and contractors

Ensure project completion within deadlines

 Planning & Coordination

Review project designs, layouts, and BOQs

Coordinate with design, procurement, and logistics teams

Schedule project activities and manpower planning

 Quality Assurance

Ensure installation meets technical specifications and standards

Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning

Handle snag lists and project handover

 Site Management

Monitor daily site progress and productivity

Manage materials, tools, and inventory

Resolve on-site technical issues

 Safety Compliance

Implement safety procedures and guidelines

Conduct toolbox talks and safety audits

Ensure PPE usage at site

 Client & Vendor Handling

Act as primary point of contact for clients at site

Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and consultants

Provide regular project updates

 Documentation & Reporting

Maintain DPR (Daily Progress Reports)

Track project milestones and timelines

Prepare completion reports and handover documents

 Qualifications

B.Tech / Diploma in:

Electrical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

Renewable Energy

Experience

3–8 years in solar EPC / electrical project execution

Experience in rooftop or MW-scale solar projects preferred

 Required Skills

Strong knowledge of solar PV systems

Understanding of:

Inverters, transformers, SCADA

AC/DC systems and cabling

Earthing and lightning protection

Ability to read drawings and SLDs

Leadership and team management skills

Good communication and problem-solving ability

Additional Requirements

Willing to travel to project sites

Ability to handle
